Course Rationale: With the course in Global Communication, students of technology will learn how to motivate themselves and others, work in global teams, manage and maintain assertive communication behavior in the global workplace, write and speak with confidence, negotiate and close deals, respect cultural paradigms, and implement plans and policies for improved career prospects. In addition to acquiring these interpersonal skills, the students shall also learn communication competency that will help them develop an appealing and responsive communication style most suitable for positive business productivity. Managers, supervisors and executives know that communication is an integral skill in the contemporary business environment. Efficient communicators are in high demand for their superior skills in business writing, speaking and listening; strategic communications; critical thinking; conflict management; creative problem solving; group facilitation; to name a few. As clear communication is vital for the survival and advancement of individuals and careers in the present times, students will hone these significant skills through this course. End Term presentation: Students will be required to submit a technical report on a topic of their interest and make an oral presentation by the end of the course.
Tutorial: Tutorial will consist of thorough discussion and deliberation of concepts through case studies and assignments.
